The World of Wonder Draft Order Game is a structured method used to determine the draft pick order for the league’s fantasy draft. It is designed to provide a fair, transparent, and random process that gives all participants an equal opportunity to secure any draft position.
Because draft order can significantly influence team selection and competitive balance, the game ensures the order is decided objectively rather than by negotiation or commissioner discretion. The use of sealed, randomly distributed card packets, along with clear tie-breaking rules, removes bias and provides a definitive, agreed-upon outcome before the draft begins.
Terms and Conditions
1. Purpose
The World of Wonder Fantasy Draft Game is used to determine the draft pick order for the fantasy draft in a fair, transparent, and random manner.
2. Materials
Each participant will receive one sealed, random packet of Disney World of Wonder trading cards acquired from Woolworths. Each packet contains three cards.
3. Procedure
a. Packets will be opened one at a time, in full view of all participants, to ensure transparency and fair scrutiny.
b. After opening, each participant will present their three cards to the group.
c. Card rankings are printed on the bottom of the card face.
4. Determining Draft Order
a. Each participant’s lowest-ranked card will be used as their primary ranking card.
b. Participants will be ordered from lowest to highest based on this primary card.
c. The participant with the lowest-ranked card receives the first draft pick, the next lowest receives the second draft pick, and so on until all draft positions are assigned.
5. Tie-Breaking Rules
a. If two or more participants have the same lowest-ranked card, their second-lowest card will be compared.
b. The participant with the lower second-lowest card will receive the earlier draft pick.
c. If all three cards in the tied participants’ packets are identical in ranking, those participants must redraw by opening a new random packet.
d. The redraw process will repeat until the tie is resolved.
6. Champion Bonus
a. The reigning league champion is granted a one-time redraw option.
b. After opening their initial packet and before the draft order is finalised, the champion may choose to discard all three cards and redraw a single new sealed packet.
c. The redraw option may be exercised once only.
d. If exercised, the redraw packet fully replaces the original packet, which is void and cannot be reinstated.
e. All standard ranking and tie-breaking rules apply to the redraw packet.
7. Non-Attending Participants
a. For non-attending participants, a sealed Disney World of Wonder card packet will be randomly selected on their behalf by the organiser.
b. The organiser will open the packet on camera, clearly displaying all cards to the group and the remote participant.
c. The organiser will announce the card rankings aloud. The remote participant may verbally confirm the cards shown but may not influence the selection or handling of the packet.
8. Finality
Once the draft order has been determined in accordance with these rules, the result is final and binding, except where an error in applying the rules has occurred.
9. Conduct and Integrity
All participants must act in good faith. Any attempt to manipulate the process, including packet swapping, card substitution, or misrepresentation of card rankings, may result in loss of draft position at the organiser’s discretion.
10. Acceptance
Participation in the World of Wonder Fantasy Draft Game constitutes acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
